My wife and I predominately use Samsung TV's. We have two Samsung sound bars, mid-level unit in the basement and their best model in the living room (where we spend most of our time watching). The sound quality will be a very personal choice and I think convenience of use is very important too. If the TV and sound bar are the same brand input control and adjustments will be very easy and in some cases automatic if connected via ARC or optical.

We've traditionally been Samsung viewers as well. Bought my first Sony 4K tv last September and my opinion has changed. The 4K OLED is stunning IMHO.

This just in from Sony for 2022 and it's quite impressive.

A sound bar is basically a streaming device.

In a sense this is true, but I think the other posters meant streaming music from a service like x....

Can’t comment on the Sony or any other bars. I would add the Sonos Beam and ARC has DSP built into them that works great at equalizing your room. It is simple and especially effective, if you add the sub, in integrating it with your Arc or Beam.

Sonos has ‘Apple like’ pricing but it works like Apple products. Simple to setup and use.

Another vote for SONOS. Easy and good.

Sonos is the best unless you go nuts price wise. I run the ARC with the Sub and it is easy for the wife to use as well...highly recomended.
