Default Power isolation transformers

Hi, I dont know which power isolation transformer I need for my equipment. I currently have, 2x7b3, 6sst, sp3, bda 3.14, OLED LG 65, tv, oppo Bluray player, xbox, nvidia shield, clearaudio record player, nakamichi tapedeck. I need a 240V for Australia, which model should I be looking at? Bryston has 16 of them

Hi Ollie

I would say the BIT 8 at a minimum and the BIT 16 if budget allows.

Best is to always get 20 % more than you need now , this way you do not overload the unit .

Default Power isolation transformers

I have the BIT-15 and my 7B monoblocks are not plugged into it because the load makes it buzz, but everything else is on it. Long term plan is to find another BIT-15 and put one amp on each for perfect symmetry (I don’t have space for a BIT-20).

However on second thought, the 7B2 and 7B3 don’t really need it because they already have Plitron transformers. I feel like they are fine plugged directly into the wall. I don’t leave them on when not in use or during storms.

I have a Torus Power RM15 (basically, the same as Bit15 as Torus is owned by Bryston), but my amp (PrimaLuna Dialogue) doesn't draw as much current as your amps. System is ultra quiet! Make sure you have a good wall receptacle (Furutech?), it made a big difference.

I know that the two companies have a cooperative relationship but didn't know that Bryston actually owns Torus. Do you know that to be true?

I don't think Torus is owned by Bryston. The parent company was Plitron, a transformer manufacturer based in Canada. Torus was spun-off in 2016 as an independent, stand alone company.
