Default Help with BOT/BDP-2 Ripping

I am having issues ripping CD's. The latest adventure is with the new Bowie 69-75 box set. So far one CD no meta data is recognized and on the next three the meta data is for 3 different cd's each one different from the other and none are even Bowie. All play fine on my IMAC and through my dedicated CD player. Thoughts on what's going on? Thanks

What software are you using for ripping?

I am using the BDP-2 via the BOT to rip. This combo was suppose to be a turn key solution but is turning out to not be the case.

I strongly recommend that you use dedicated software for ripping. My favorite is dbpoeramp. It costs about $35 and it is worth it. Even with dedicated software you will find that you need to make corrections to the data from time to time. I use mp3tag to "fix" the data. That software is free.

Thank you for the advice. Leaning in that direction but both apps are not as functional on MAC OS as Win which means buying a new laptop just for burning which I am leaning towards.

Frustrating as this combo was suppose to be a good solution.

I own a Mac. Both dbpoweramp and mp3tag have Mac OS versions.

I originally ripped via iTunes in AIFF but it was suggested I do FLAC. Bryston help me set up a 2nd 3TB drive, I bought the BOT and have been doing that since. I just checked 2 dozen rips and more than 1/2 have issues. I would be happy if this was user error on my part so I could fix it but given all I do is but the CD (many new) into the BOT, check the meta data and adjust if needed, and hit backup I can't imagine what I am doing wrong.

Bryston support is great but I have send the BDP-2 and BOT back once already and have had multiple calls.

Rolling Stones Let it Bleed only 3 tracks
Rolling Stones Beggers Banquet only 3 tracks
Emiliana Torrini Fishermans wife only 2 tracks
Zombies Greatest only 3 tracks
Timelife Treasury Sporadic tracks
Springsteen Boston 4 cd Put in a sub folder titled 9
Pink Floyd The Wall (Hey You) Under DS 7 460368 CD 2
Emerson Paris Art Crimes Missing tracks
Emmylou Harris Wrecking Ball Only 2 track
George Harrison All Things Must Pass Only 5 tracks
John Denver Christmas together only tracks 5-11
Johnny Cash American Recordings only track 1

It looks like you might be better off re-ripping your CDs again rather than trying to fix what was copied.
Creating FLAC files is the way to go because you can always convert a flac file to any other format if you need to.
I strongly suggest that you find an alternate (and more reliable) way to rip your CDs. I mentioned previously the software that I currently use and recommend.
