I've just audiotioned the TAD-CE1 at Tokyo International Audio Show this week and what called my attention first was how beautiful is this loudspeaker. Soundwise it is very smooth, open and seamless top to botton. Despite smaller than the CR-1, the CE1 is still an oversize "bookshelf" and the low frequency region is not a problem for this speaker.
The scale of the sound-stage is huge as well.
After so many qualities, I can mention just one concern that I could realize during the listening session. A minimum shift to the right or to the left from the exact sweet spot center, I started hearing clearly the sound coming from speaker itself. This is somenthing that I have to check again hearing to this wonderful speaker again with other sources and electronics.

By the way, the Japanese market MSRP is in US dollar $ 16,000 (consumption tax included) apart of the stands (another $ 1,500 roughly).
