Love the look, but when put together with C600 and M600.. They don't go together.
This is suppose to be higher level than D600 right ? But do not have ext power supply.

More information from Japanese website reports on the TAD press release :

(1) the dac chip is one Burr-Brown"PCM1794A" per channel.

(2) the clock generators are proprietary with huge (15mm diameter) internal crystals. The crystals inside clock regenerators used by other brands are usually just 2mm x 2mm in size).

I was lucky to see one if these new pieces at the Hifi News High End show in the UK last weekend

The Dac looked superb in the flesh clean and business like usual TAD build quality.

Re: DA1000

I read that when playing 24/192 files, the DA1000 downsample them to 24/96 !! Why does it do this !!? Isn't this a "limiting" factor ?

Also, I will be interested to know how 16/44 files sounds. Indeed, I do not want a DAC that is good only with 24 files.

finally, can the DA1000 play DSD files ? natively ?

Hi,

I will have a cd player in my system. this is sure.

a TAD DA1000 and than use my cd player Ayon cd3sx as transport? or go the D1000 and stop?

I use Passlabs class A XA100.8, Xp20, Wilson Sasha2....->
a lot of dac are available but the TAD is very flexible!

A Meitner / emmlabs can be a "good" alternative?

Thannk you for opinion!

greets
