What amps is James using, is that a 4B and 7B for each channel that's my guess anyways? I love the finish on the Bryston speakers and the active model must sound fabulous driven like that.

Hi

Yes a 7B mono on the bass drivers and a 4B stereo on the mids and tweeter on each speaker. The silver box in the middle is the dedicated active crossover.

Just a 10B crossover I play around with off and on and a small BIT power conditioner. Preamp is BP26 and source is BDP-2 and BDA-2 as well as a MAC laptop computer for comparison purposes.

OK......... here's what I see from my listening position (my desk) through the 18-20' of the front part of my room (workshop is behind me). The speakers are 6' from my ears, so am listening in the near-field, which minimizes the room interaction while at my desk. Not optimal when putzing around at my workbenches, but I'm not listening seriously then in any event.
