Default Another proud Schiit Bifrost owner

Today my Schiit Bifrost arrived and I must say I'm realy impressed with both build quality and sonic performance of this DAC. Even cold out of the box it sounds great. Very much comparible to the Micromega MyDac, and this one still needs some serious hours to run in.
I got the version without usb running it via Toslink from an Apple AirportExpress.

Very happy

Congratulations gerzom- as a Schiit owner I share your enthusiasm. Give the Bifrost a good 300 hours before coming to conclusions, with my Gungnir there were days during break-in when I questioned both my sanity and my hearing. Schiit offers great value, and upgradeability, once they finish their "statement DAC" they'll set about bringing new designs and implementations back down the price ladder. Enjoy!

This. ^

The only things I have read which seem certain are that it will be at least 2x the price of the Gungnir- $1500 minimum. The other is that it likely won't be ready until first quarter 2013 at the earliest. In terms of technologies, feature set and implementation they are tight-lipped.
