Default Another Benefit to TAD CR-1's Clarity and Resolution ....

I am sure I am in the minority here, but I love to sleep with music playing. Sometimes I'll hear a song in the middle of the night that just hits me in the right way and seems even more enjoyable and special. The clarity and resolution of the CR-1's is an added bonus because these speakers sound awesome at low volumes. The music is clear and everything is well defined. The sound if full, top to bottom. Just amazing.

I used to do this when I was a teenager.
Enjoying low volume playback is the proof of a high end system.
I'm glad for you Joe !

This is one of the biggest issues I have with my Thiels, they don't play well at low volume. Certainly one of the things I will address when I upgrade my speakers.

Thanks

Sometimes, good low volume playback depends on the amp(s) and not the speakers.

If you don't mind moving your speakers, push them closer to boundaries(back/side walls) for low level listening.

I fully concur with you, Jérome. The quality of the first Watt and the silence of the power amp is key for a nice low volume listening experience.

thanks for the suggestions. It must be my speaker position as I don't beleive the issue is with my Lamm's.
