Question Internal wire manufacturer for TAD CR-1's ? ...

Is there any way to find out who manufactures the internal wiring for TAD speakers? I wonder if I can get external speaker cables made of the same wire.

Ha! Ha!

I had feeling that was coming. I swapped my jumpers for Cardas Clear and OMG! What a difference for the better. They perform so well, it has me thinking about some Cardas cables for the main run.

what's used internally is in know way an indicator of what would work well from the amplifier.

+1 what's inside a speaker has never influenced my decisions.

While I agree generally with the above, I know for example that Andy Payor of Rockport uses Transparent wire internally in his speakers and he likes to use Transparent ICs and SCs in his demos at the factory. Is this because it sounds better or just because he has a special relationship with Transparent?

Joe...in any case, if you still want to find out, here is TAD's US office info. I am sure you can send them an e-mail:

Ivan and trophunter,

I was just curios.

Thanks Cyril,

I'll send an email but I think Jim is correct. It's probably Unobtainium.

Just to throw more info into the pot, Dynaudio uses a Van den Hul cable made to their own specification, and Zu wired the Soul Superfly internally with Zu Mission speaker wire. Not that that helps much, I guess.

I'm using DNM speaker cable....superficially it resembles FM antenna cable, but it's not upon closer examination.

I would like to know what wire is used internally and what Andrew Jones uses for voicing/show setups. Given he personally sets up the systems for show conditions and tries to improve the sound every time I think his latest choices for shows would be a good indication of synergistic cables.
