For Sale: LUMIN X1 Flagship Streamer $13,990 MSRP
For sale is my Lumin X1 in the brushed silver finish as pictured.
This is the Lumin flagship streamer of the last few years with an MSRP of $13,990. The reviews for this streamer include accolades from press and public alike. I’m selling it for $8400 obo including shipping in the Continental USA. I can accept most payment methods - Paypal (f+f preferred), Venmo, Apple Cash, etc. The condition of the streamer on the Audiogon scale would probably be 7/10, strictly speaking. I grade very conservatively. Look at the first picture to see how well the Lumin presents. Cosmetically there are some very small marks from moving and laying cables over the streamer during cable auditions I performed in my system. I took the attached pictures by getting close to the Lumin and attempting to capture the marks at angles that made them more visible. Otherwise from a few feet away, I think they’re mostly invisible except for perhaps one small mark on top of the unit that's pictured. Operationally, the X1 is perfect and has never had any issue with any function. Operationally it works optimally as intended and sold. In my opinion the X1 is a dynamic sounding streamer that takes full advantage of the technology built into the device. Set-up is flexible for use in almost any system with or without a preamplifier. As you probably are aware, the X1 has the lauded Leedh volume control for direct connection to amplification. Support by Lumin is the best of any high end company I’ve encountered. Software updates are frequent and forum presence by company representatives is exceptionally helpful. The X1 comes with the streamer, power supply, power supply umbilical, ethernet cable, power cable, white cloth gloves, and small instruction manual. The Lumin website has the full set-up guide and FAQ’s. The original box and outer box are included. Lumin’s packaging will keep the Lumin safe during shipping to its destination. If the new owner is interested, I can recommend a cost effective way to utilize the optical fiber connection on the Lumin. Fiber is an inexpensive way to protect your system from noise. I did find some methods of ethernet cable to fiber conversion better than others. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Christian..., you're too hard on yourself.
I would rate this - from the photographs I see - 8 ˝. Good luck with the sale. It's a fine unit!

Thanks, gentlemen.
It obviously presents well as the first picture shows but I'd rather be cautious and have the purchaser happier when they see it in person. The only reason I'm selling it is that my integrated amp in that system has a built in streamer that I'm finally happy with (which I'd hoped I would be given the magnitudes in price greater than the Lumin).
