Luggage & security
We are flying out of country next week. I am planning to use small, higher quality locks for the zipped compartments. EXCEPT there are 5 on each bag...
What do you use for luggage and/or security on the bag to prevent someone from slipping unwanted contraband into your luggage compartments? Maybe I am being paranoid but...any tips?

Get TSA approved locks -- you can buy them in multiple packs -- but they need to be TSA approved (basically, TSA has approved them for use because amoung other things, they have the ability to unlock 'em).
I believe Home Deport even sells 'em. Bob

Best to not even bother locking. Then it looks like you are traveling with non-precious cargo.
They will cut/invade if they think they see anything anyhow. If there is something valuable, always carry it on your person (unless liquid, of course).
