How is Meridian's Service Dept?

Hi..I am contemplating purchasing a Meridian 808.2 online(used).

Being that this would be an "online" leap of faith, I would imagine that i would have to send it in for service one day. Can this particular model be upgraded?

And do they still provide service for older models such as this.

I only ask because they said that they no longer can repair 500 series cd player due to lack of parts

Not sure where your located -- but if in the USA, I'd call the USA distributor and ask. Can't hurt & besides, you'd get it from the so called "horses mouth."

This is a little dated, but Meridian warranty repairs are handled by “The Repair Shop” in Hiram, Georgia. The shop operator is Jason Baker.
