B&W must have hundreds. But other than those two, I cannot think of an audiophile company with >100. These guys are craftsmen building in small quantities by hand, that's one huge reason our hifis often cost as much as our cars

B&W has moved most of the their production to China. To me, they no longer count. But, my guess is they never had as many as 100. I'll guess that McIntosh has never had 100 employees.

McIntosh claims over 150 employees on LinkedIn, and it's easy to find credible internet references for B&W having 3X that or more. You may be sore that they produce a lot of stuff in China, and/or you may not like their sound, but they are a pillar of the audiophile community

The issue with ARC isn't the exact number of employees, but that the company is presently understaffed. The queue for service was around six months last year and I don't think it has improved. The company has had open positions listed on its website for an electrical engineer and a service tech for more than a year.

I remain hopeful about ARC's future. But for it to thrive, it will need new leadership and an infusion of cash.

My thinking was about the number of employees involved in production at the factory, which does not include the sales and marketing folks in the field. I ask someone who "knows McIntosh" and his response was 155, which includes all the folks in the field around the world. Without an org-chart, we can only surmise.
