Not me. The three I currently have were all bought in a store.

Do you mean from a grey dealer online, or used from someone online? I've only purchased one watch online from a grey dealer, the others have all been purchased from brick and mortars that were able to match (or beat) grey pricing. Plenty of people have purchased used online with great success, but if you're looking at new, you can usually find a brick and mortar dealer that will come very close to grey and you'll get the full warranty benefit.

Doug,

We bought 2 watches online : my wife's Tag and my Blancpain and we were very happy with the deal and service. I also got a great communication for my Blancpain which power reserve indicator was not working well. Do not know if I can tell you the names of the web shops here.

I purchased my Blancpain from a grey dealer online who told me that I had the full Blancpain warranty : and it is true.

I got my 2 watches at AD. I could have saved some money if I did my research first before plunging. If you are looking for a tag, best is to go to their outlet store. We have one here in Illinois. For rolex, there is a rolex forum, trusted sellers in the for sale section- used, mint, and brand new. Too bad I learned about it after plunging!

I've purchased many watches online, new from authorized dealers, grey market, used, you name it. It's much like buying audio gear, know your source/seller and its all good IMHO.

If you do, don't EVER wire funds. Use a credit card, not a debit card at all times to protect yourself.

The saying still rings true, buy the seller first. There are plenty of reputable used dealers online, if you spend some time on the various watch forums you'll know who is trustworthy. There are also some good dealers on EBay that also advertise on forums.
