c1000t enough gain for Grado Reference 3 Timbre ?
Question:
Has anyone tried the Grado Reference 3 Timbre with the Mcintosh c1000t? The Grado is 1.0mv output must be loaded into 47K or 10K MM input. I’m thinking I need at least 55 db gain, which is the maxx gain on the c1000 MM input. Your experience with low output MM cartridges? I am currently using an ARC SP-15 preamp with plenty of gain and low noise. Thanks in advance for help and support.
