March 2010 - Brian Cherry on USB - Diyhifisupply announces the immediate availability of their new 24/192-capable devices with tubed output stages. "These two products allow audiophiles to stream high-definition music files from their PC without being limited by internal sound devices, jitter-inducing adaptive mode USB devices or the 96kHz sample rate limit of the Windows USB audio driver. The Morello is an asynchronous USB-to-S/PDIF converter with RCA, BNC and Toslink outputs capable of streaming all sample rates up 192kHz and data of up to 24-bit word length to any suitable external DAC, receiver or digital processor. The RCA and BNC connections use our 6922 'Digital Tube output Stage' (DTS) with Sanyo Os-Con capacitor and digital transformer to provide the best possible quality digital signal. The Cleo is an asynchronous 24/192 USB DAC which features an additional Toslink output. The analog stage following the Burr Brown advanced segment DAC uses our UTS 'universal tube gain stage' with Obbligato Tinfoil and Polypropylene coupling capacitors with NOS Tesla E88CC tubes. Both devides feature our ultra-low noise filament supplies to power the heaters of directly heated triodes for the digital circuits.

"By adding a linear supply with an oversized toroidal transformer, the noisy PC-sourced bus power used to power USB audio devices is avoided. Additionally there are no switching supplies or switchers in use. Our EZ ultimate clock system offers +/-1ppm clock accuracy and less than 1.5 picoseconds jitter."
