Default Dyn owners-- what HT receiver do you use

I'm thinking of having my Dyn 52SE converted to a front speaker for Home theater. I'm really tired of the BOSE system as my HT.

So, I've been lurking for a receiver but I kinda worried since I can't really tell if the power rating are sufficient to drive the power hungry Dyn's. I tried connecting my Int. AMP but it only has analog connection and that's something I don't want when watching movies ( I still prefer digital connection/sound on movies).

So, what receiver are you using on your Dynaudio speaker?

TIA

I think I'm leaning on a denon a/v receiver. However, the power rating publish was for 8 and 6 ohm only.. will that work?

I am using an Arcam AVR300 with Audience 72/122C/62/52SE/Sub500.

The 52SE should be awesome as front speakers. They sound better than my Audience 72. I just pulled my 52SE out of my HT system to use as speakers in an office system.

You will definitely want an AVR that is stable at 4 ohm for extended periods.

P.S. Love the Subie. I have a '11 WRB STi sedan. Also have the same in DGM.

Thanks Dean. I may have to re-think if I'm going in 'all-in-one' sound route. I may have to part with my int. amp and just settle for an AVR.

I segregate my AV and music systems. I do not like the sound of the AVR for two-channel music.

I had/have an integra DHC 40.1 that I was using for a while. It's still in my system, but now strictly for HT purposes. I always thought it sounded good though.

I am using an Integra 30.3 with 42s as rears, 122c center but I use the pre outs to my main 2ch rig running my 82s and just flip the input and turn my volume knobs to 12 o'clock for matching the Integra.

What are you using to drive yr Dyns in 2 channel now?

Just reuse them.

Dyns love good power and TBH few AVRs have good quality watts. You might be better off getting a cheaper/preowned AVR with pre out and hook up a decent power amp. Or share the power amp from yr stereo setup with a HT bypass.

If budget is tight, the Emotivas are pretty good deals.

I agree. I already dismantled my 2 channel rig.

In doing so, I re-used my trusty Kestrels as my main speakers. The int. AMP, & the 52SE is already boxed-- I don't know if for good..

In my experience, the Dyn's wants to breath and I can't find my preferred sound when I use it in a tiny room.
