Sony is brighter, but not quite as good at blacks and doesn't support Dolby Vision HDR. Costs a little chunk more. The Sony Z9D is considered one of the top 2 LCDs out there. Last edited by Dr Tone; 12-16-2016 at 03:11 PM. |

Amazon verifies if the users actually did buy the TV. AVSForum for all anyone knows might be people paid by the manufacturers.

AVSForum threads are far from all glowing reviews quite the opposite actually, it's usually just a bunch of threads full of bitching. Every single TV brand and model has issues, it's about sorting through the issues and finding the one you are able to live with the most. Example: I lived with image retention and eventual burn in for years on my plasma because the alternatives in LCDs didn't compare. Now I'm willing to live with less than stellar near black performance to get the best pure black on the market, great colors and no image retention/burn in for gaming. I've also given up some brightness in comparison to LCDs, my eyes can barely take the torch the E6 is. I've got the OLED brightness waaaaay down. Last edited by Dr Tone; 12-16-2016 at 03:45 PM. |

Wanted to throw my hat in the ring and let people know I have a Sony Z9D and an LG C6 OLED. If anyone has any questions about them, let me know. Both are really great TV's!
