Well, I have heard some of the lesser Studers, not the two inch or the one inch, at some of the shows. If you remember there was one at RMAF. I just didn't like the sound of them. Additionally, some of the two inch Studers are selling for as much as $14,000 USD. Why take such a financial risk on a machine that is over fourty years old. My tascam was less than $1000. I am sure that I can find the Tascam ATR 80 2 inch machine for no less than $2500. Besides, my new Tascam ATR 60 is a perfect way for me to get my feet wet into a world I really don't know much about. It also serves as an added device for my home musician's recording studio. I think I am some form of a musician/conceptual artist. I am sure that once I understand it's operating principles, it will come to good use.

Smile Tascam Pro Reel To Reel Deck
This ATR-60 looks to be a massive deck. Do you plan to do any local recording or setting up an in-house recording studio?
