Thirsty weather, let the bubbles come!

I had a long and really nice conversation with the master.
He's clearly not one track minded.

Everybody anxious to see what would come out of the casting cylinder:

The first cast:

The second still in there:

I'm sure my wife Meta, also a goldsmith, knows more about the process.
As always, the photographs are from her steady hand.

This was a truly unique experience... that will not remain unique!
I asked Sigiswald and his wife if they could come to play at our place for my birthday and they said YES!!
And let's make it even more beautiful: you classical fans are all invited!

I'll start a separate thread to explain more about this event.

We can be glad we love this kind of music.
Could you imagine Bruce Springsteen, to name a musician of the same caliber but in pop music, being so accessible?!

Great pictures, great time.

I chuckled when I saw the champagne being served and I remembered what you said about Belgians loving their bubblies. Were those some of the bottle we picked up in Épernay?

And then the concert.
First a short introduction by Marleen Thiers, his wife, and a very good violist herself.
She explained a bit about the purpose of the event, and cited from her favourite philosopher: Plato.
She's a lovely and warm lady.
Wow. I don't know many people who quote Plato. Fascinating.

Meta - your pictures are top-notch. I knew that already, but still...

In case you want to experience it yourself, and you're in Europe March 5, welcome Douglas!
Will send an invitation once it's ready.
