Default Lever Guns?

Any lever-action fans here? Have just purchased a Marlin 1895 and am sending off to my gunsmith to install a 26", 1-in-14" twist octagonal barrel in 38-56 for our BP lever-gun silhouette competitions and deer hunting. Was going to go with a Winchester 1886, but with the needed cleaning for BP, decided to go with the Marlin, being considerably easier to clean from the breech. Mine will look about like this, except for having a globe front and Soule mid-range tang sight w/Hadley cup and checkered pistol-grip stock and forearm.

That is like me saying my wife looks just like Angelina Jolie, except everything is different.

I have a Marlin Guide gun 45/70 Lever action, and a Ruger Lever action 22mag. I used to have a lever action 30/30.

A friend, Lew Bonitz/Grizzly Custom, has made me some very nice lever rifles. Like most things, they got sold because I wasn't using them, like most things, I wish I had them back.

While certainley not an expensive gun, I don't enjoy shooting anything more than my 1894 30/30

I'm not a huge gun aficionado, but I have twice in my life owned a Marlin lever action 30-30, in both instances a model 336C, fitted with a scope. That looks like a nice Marlin you've got there.
