Default BMW 535i M Sport vs. Mercedes E350 sport vs. Audi A6

Well, the Lexus GS 350 is getting a little long in the tooth, so looks like it may be time for an upgrade of the automobile kind. A lot of car aficionados here, so was hoping for some feedback or recommendations from any owners out there. From my reading/looking so far, it seems the Audi is the sedan to beat, Mercedes has the more classic look and feel, while the BMW is more sexy, but a little more money on paper, yet they have the free 50,000 mile/4yr maintenance, so that's nice. So, what do you all think, pros/cons etc....

You know, I have looked at the new GS 350 F Sport, but even my wife said, you know, you only live once, if you're gonna get something, get something different. If there was a clear advantage of the Lexus, I'd still consider it. I know the price would be a little less than the German contenders, but other than that, it wouldn't be that much different than what I drive now. Honestly haven't been a huge Infiniti fan since the old M35/45x models, but I guess it's just preference.

Probably comes down to what makes you feel better. We have a '13 E350 AWD sport, now with 40,000 miles and love it My wife chose it over the 535x. We never looked at any of others. I would have bought the bimmer but it was her turn to choose. It is a great car.

You are choosing between the best deserts. They are all sweet.

Buck.......The new 2015 Audi A6 is the most attractive of the three in my opinion.

It's not clear if you actually drove them all. If not, start there. Looks aside, I prefer the feel of the BMW (at this level) to anything out there.

I have driven them all.......thing is, I'm not the most savvy driver when it comes to performance, what I mean is when I read a review of a car, it's really hard for me to pick up on some of the qualities that are mentioned by these reviewers. That bring said, all of them felt really good to me and I believe I'd be happy driving any of them, that's why I was looking for some feedback from someone who has spent some extended time with one. I will say I'm not a big fan of That dang pop up screen on the Audi.......very distracting for an otherwise great cockpit.

We currently have an all Audi garage, my wife drives a 2011 Q5 and I drive a 2012 S4. Before my S4 we had a 2006 A4. While not the A6 you are looking at I can say all 3 of our Audi vehicles have been fantastic. While not as "sharp" in the handling department as a comparable BMW I think the Audi is better all around when you take the interior and comfort factors into consideration. The all wheel drive capabilities of the Audi are outstanding as well.

I quite familiar with the Serie-3, A4 and C-class. I'd pick the BMW each time. Actually, I kept my 3-series for 9 years !

I don't like the handling of the Audi, a bit too bland and I couldn't feel any excitment behind the wheel. I find the styling to be quite generic. IMO, it's the car designed to please the most people and thus avoid anything too radical.

I rented a GLK last time in the USA and I drove my dad's E-class a few times. I was actually quite pleased with the cars. Handling is good and the level of details is excellent. However, I feel the design is geared toward older gentlemen. Maybe I'll get one when I'm much older.

I really enjoy the BMW handling and they bring a real pleasure driving them. It feels sportier than the others and you want to drive them more agressively. It's a real experience. I still remember the drive I took with a 335i convertible.

At this level, it all comes down to personal preference. Some will like the BMW, like I do, and other the Audi or Merc. There is no right or wrong as they all have roughly the same price structure and offering. On paper, it's pretty much a coin toss.

You need to try them and let your gut decide which makes you the happiest
