I'm with Jay on this as well. I'd own a Ferrari if it wasn't for their sales practices. I love the cars and the brand but then get totally turned off at the dealership. The fact that they won't let a non-owner buy a new car is amazing. If you don't own one already you have to buy a used one (many on the lot with a few hundred miles on them, and priced above sticker), then order the new one, then you can trade your used one for the new one when it comes in.

On one hand as a business guy I can admire their discipline and that they make this model work and keep some exclusivity, but as a car guy (sometimes an impulsive one) I find this to be total BS.

I've taken my business to Aston Martin instead. They treat me and my wife like royalty there and the experience is always exceptional. We're happy to be part of that family.

Oh, but I still crave a 458, and my wife would like a FF... Damn...

They sell new Ferraris to connected people who put a few hundred miles on them and then resell them for a healthy markup. The seller then splits with the dealer or salesman.

Enzo sticker was around 660k. If he paid 300k over he would be Into it 960k. Today an Enzo with low mileage will bring between 1.6 million and 1.8 million. So he almost doubled his money in 10 years.

It doesn't always work that way but it has in the past.
