-- I've read that HDMI runs of 2 meters are usually better than 1 meter runs. ...Has to do with sync. But I don't know, I'm not an expert like the guy who said it.

Who cares about him. We don't talk about other forums here at AA.

My assumption was the shorter the cable, the less distance information has to travel, the better? I am certainly no expert, just makes sense to me.
And you all probably know my feelings on Anthem... so an "Anthem guy"... Hmmmmm...?

Are you running straight pass-thru or are you re-processing from your player and/or processor? You should be very careful about contemplating any further video processing throughout the chain. Re-processing the image more than once can introduce all sort of problems like framing issues which can cause bad things like ghosting. My initial litmus is always the credits. If the motion is not smooth, something is not right. Last edited by MyPal; 01-20-2013 at 03:04 AM. |

The Kordz cable is a budget cable. You could do much better than a Radio Parts product line. For a projector setup, I would be inclined to pull a bundle of high quality CAT 6a solid core & use a pair of CAT6 to HDMI converters. They are improving all the time & you will future proof yourself. The latest can process a 1080P uncompressed. You could either krone the termination to a keystone for patching or terminate directly to RJ45. The latter is more difficult but preferred. That way your converters can plug straight into each end of the run & your two short HDMI cables will plug from these into your devices. Last edited by MyPal; 01-20-2013 at 04:04 AM. |
