Default Int. AMP. best connection (Subwoofer)

I want to try a Subwoofer BUT my Integrated AMP has NO Subwoofer out.

Any recommendation?

No preamp out either?

You could also choose a sub that has a speaker level connection.

Subwoofers, such as REL subwoofers, let you connect via your speaker posts - you do not need a subwoofer connection or a preamp connection on your amp. That type of connection is great - really lets you integrate the sub with your speakers.

+1. For me, best way to go for music integration is to go off the speakers. RELs also let you connect them both ways to accommodate soundtrack special effects.

I don't know about Polks, but a local dealer says Martin Logan subs have speaker level connections.

Nope, that's a fixed level output and doesn't change with volume.

An "integrated amp" is preamplifier/power amplifier in one chassis/box.


Face, you're right. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Tape copies would have changing volumes if that wasn't the case.
