I'm about to "pull the trigger". Anyone have one? I'm very excited to step up the food chain from my kimber tactical custom II. Both are .45 acp.

I've never shot one of those specifically, I did shoot a DW Heritage and it was amazing. The Valor is a step up.

I was fortunate to have access to one through my range recently, Marc. I put about 100 rds through it and was impressed.

Clean break trigger, feels good in the hand especially with the 25 LPI checkering on the front strap, very slick and tight frame to slide fit. All the parts work well and I experienced no malfunctions.

There are some nice custom touches, such as the VZ slimline grips, the undercut trigger guard and the bevel bushings.

The only thing I would change on it, and this is just my personal preference, is the tactical ledge sights. I prefer a red fiber front and fully adjustable rear set up. But that's just me.

So are you going for the bead blast matte stainless finish or their black "Duty" finish?

Either way, I am sure you will like the piece.

awesome , good to hear! I'll opt for the cheaper bead blast finish because the duty finish is (gasp) $300. I am not taking this thing to war, I think I'll be ok.

I'll look into the sights, too. Thanks for the input!

Don't worry about the sights. They can always be changed.

The DW Valor is a quality piece and I think you'll like it.

I'm picking this bad boy up tomorrow and heading to the range. I got the bead blasted one.

I just got finished at the range. The kimber is much lighter and has a lighter trigger as well. The DW is heavier than I thought, but very accurate. It's a bit tight still.

Yes, it will need some rounds run through it to loosen up a bit.

It looks great, Marc. Congrats!
