I am looking at putting the Mini between a Krell Foundation that does no processing and a Samsung 8500 plasma. Any thoughts?

Hi rgiorgio,
Samsung 8500 plasma is a good display . By adding lumagen mini in your video chain , you will have more options to calibrate your plasma .
You can calibrate your display to 21 points of greyscale & gamma .( For Samsung 8500 plasma , you can calibration to 10 points of greyscale and only a gamma preset value. ) and you can calibrate the color by using cms in the lumagen mini which will give you the 125 points 3D LUT calibration.
( Samsung 8500 plasma has a function to adjust & calibrate only 6 colors , RGBCYM ) . But you have to have a colorimeter and a software to calibrate your plasma.
Another benefit with lumagen on your signal path is you can have a different set up with a different resolution inputs.

EDDY .
