My advice, owning both tube amps for music and LOTS of guitar amps with tubes, is don't bother with the tube tester. A good one is going to cost you lots of money and not worth it for the number of times you will use it. I almost bought one a long time ago, and got this advise from a tube and amplifier guy, "don't waste your time, focus on the music". Sound advise to this day. IMHO of course.

My advice, make friends with other Shindo owners in Toronto who own a tube tester

I like the TV-7 compact, easy to store, and most importantly covers the wide variety of tubes Shindo uses.

Restock, would that by chance be you? I am back up and running again. You are still welcome to come and listen to my system anytime.

And yes, adjusting the bias on Shindo amps is a Pita.
I changed my tubes in the CCQ 2 months ago and I have to check the bias again now but I procrastinate....
Did Danny tell you if it would be good to check the bias again after a few weeks ?
Jerome, I have the CC EL34 and they are self-bias (confirmed by Shindo). The original EL34 Miniwatt Dario have now 7 years and I think changing them or just making tube rolling to listen the difference.

My question is : do you know how to measure the CC bias when we change tubes? I added some pictures of the circuit :

Hello Rafael,
Very sorry for the late answer.
From what I can see on your pics, the CC (EL34) has an auto bias circuit. That is a great thing.
My CCQ had adjustments screws inside to adjust the bias.
I loved them but this bias adjustment made me tired.
And I found a better sound to my ears with 300B WE monoblocks with an auto bias design so I sold the CCQs.

Thank you Jerome! I understand that the internal location to adjust the bias is not user friendly at all... i got the answer about how to adjust it.
Im curious to listen their WE 300B with my Avantgarde Duo! And autobias is perfect!
