It’s a preamp and a streamer? What am I missing? Isn’t that what the 3.14 is?

Hi Ollie

The 3.14 can serve as a preamp but the preamp output is driven by the internal DAC's. With the BR-20 there is a pure class A analog gain stage for the preamplifier section.

Very smart looking piece of gear, priced right, and tons of functionality. Can't wait to hear it!

You have to submit a unit to ROON so it will be a while.

Great Video thanks for posting. With harmonic distortion so low, it will be interesting to see the Signal to Noise figures for the BR-20. And indeed hear the base noise floor with no signal. My only minor criticism of the BP-17(3) is that it is indeed a little noisier at idle compared to my 3B(3)

For classical music listeners in the digital area, reducing noise below the fragile decay as the music fades has to be the holy grail for any pre amp!

also wondering about the phono (as above - will it take the BP-17(3) phono board)? Where will it be installed within the unit? Which input will it take? rca 1 or 2? and will a grounding post be added to the back?
