The unit was supplied by PurePower through their authorised distributor. They have promised service on several occasions but just haven't delivered anything.

Based in the UK, the responsibility rests with the UK retailer under our sale of goods legislation. The retailer is as frustrated as I am and will make the situation right by supplying alternative product. He will then have the option to file a claim against the manufacturer ( for what that is worth). I have a good relationship with the UK retailer, having bought a few items including my Rockport speakers from them and I know they will help however the whole episode leaves a very bad taste.

Here is the site of the original manufacturer of Pure Power products in Taiwan:

Winstream | We Power Up Your Life

They specialise in uninterruptible power supplies. It seems, that contrary to what Pure Power has claimed, those products have never been manufactured in Canada. What is more, from the very fact that those products are still sold in the us under Pro Power name, it seems that the whole IP belongs to Winstream, the manufacturer, not to Pure Power. It seems Pure Power was only marketing those products under his own name.

ProPower – ProPower 2000

I thought the Plus series units were different from the previous ProPower line and exclusive to the Canadian company?

Amazing! A few direct threats ( not involving baseball bats) and after 7 months, the spare parts arrive! Unit now repaired.

Still appalling customer support but, at least, we got ther in the end.

I was prepared to order a PP2000....that is before I read this thread.

What other options should I consider that would perform comparably to the Pure Power?

Default PurePower does not deliver items after payment

I purchased a regeneration and a power back-up unit (US$ 3,617) in May 2014 from PurePower and, despite many phone calls to Richard, they have not yet delivered the units.
The message below was the last communication I received from Richard regarding the purchase:

"On 4 Sep 2014 19:31, "Richard Janzen" <richard@purepoweraps.com> wrote:
Hi Antonio,
Sincer apologies. You unit was ready when promsied originally - our shipping is guilty of losign track.
I will expidite and forward tracking info as soon as possible."

I would appreciate it, if the members of the Forum could give me leads as to how can I get PurePower to deliver the units or reimburse my money.
Living in Tanzania, I have some difficulty in communicating with PurePower and when I call Richard either pretends to be someone else or gets a lady, whom I presume to be his wife to answer the phone and tell me he is not around.
Any ideas will be much appreciated.

I have two of their units and much correspondence with Damian, the last many years ago when I finally gave up. Steer clear!
