1) NOLA KOs (MSRP: $10K): have recently been getting great feedback, most recently at RMAF paired up with Audio Research's 75wpc new integrated amp. The speaker has a nominal 8ohm impedance and a 4ohm minimum, which means it does not represent a difficult load for the partnering amp. At 90dB, it is above average sensitivity so you should be able to play it plenty loud if that is your thing. Here's a review from Harry Pearson from his new online publication: Review: NOLA KO Loudspeaker : HPSoundings

2) I second the Joseph Audio Perspective (MSRP: $11K): also has received great feedback at recent audio shows. No official review yet but the Pulsar (monitor) and the Pearl2 (fulllarger brother of Perspective) have gotten immensely positive reviews. I think they will mate well again because these are nominal 8ohm impedance (and 6ohm minimum) which means they will be very easily driven by your amps.

3) Verity Audio Parsifal Ovation (Used in the $10K range): phenomenal speakers and I think a great buy/value in the $10K range. Sound very natural but can do all the hi-fi tricks. Small form factor but true full rangers. Beautiful finishes. Again easy to drive with 8ohm nominal (4ohm min) impedance and @89dB sensitivity, should mate well with your manley Snappers.

Good luck with your search.
All very good suggestions. Anything NOLA would be superb. I love their musical sound! Perfect for and voiced on tube gear.

I like the JA Perspective, they look alot smaller in the pictures then I expected. I've also heard good things about the VA line of speakers.

Cyril, why didn't I think of those speakers?! Yes if you could get the Ovations under $10k 2nd hand they would eclipse the ML Summit X's, although their sound characteristics would be different obviously. The Parsifal Ovations are a high quality, awesome bang for the buck speaker 2nd hand. Great option

I've read that the Sanders was really impressive at RMAF. Both the Model 11 (Model 11) and Model 10 (Model 10) are a bit over your range but the Model 10 does come with its own amplification.

I thought the new ARC amp was a power amp not Intergrated.

A pre-owned pair of Sonus faber Elipsa will amaze you and are within your budget. Honestly your getting a 20 k speaker for 1/2 price since the SE model came out .
