You can't go wrong with any of the suggestions...enjoy the chase!!

Hi,

I've heard the Vienna "Music" here, and for rock/jazz, they're awesome. Very punchy and weighty, with no treble hardness at all.
But from the speakers listed in this thread, my #1 choice would be the Dynaudio C4 Signature. They move some serious air, and have a treble to die for, very extended, but still smooth and non-fatiguing. And they look nice too

I heard the c4 sigs and loved them. My wife did too. We sat there and listened to the latest Bob Dylan CD. It sounded incredible. These speakers possess a spooky realism, detail and accuracy from top to bottom. I could not find fault. If I was buying NEW speakers today....these would be at the top of my list.

For value, the Salon 2's reign supreme IMO and with the 601's, will rock.

Mike

Michael, as an owner of the Salon 2's,it should come as no surprise that I think you should give them a serious listen.
It looks like you and I listen to the same type of music. The thing I like the best about the Salon 2's,with the music we both listen to,is their tweeter. It produces highs that are very detailed, but never sounds brittle or splashy, the nicest treble I've heard.
Also beautiful vocals and killer bass.
Have fun on your quest for new speakers.

Mark

Hi Mark......I'm going to take a trip and give them a listen at the closest dealer to me. Do you use the adjustment dials on them at all?
