LOL its a strong contender Dan, but i need to listen to it again, because it sounded kinda "Laid Back" on Classic Rock and especially Hard Rock.....i heard them hooked up to MC 1.2K's.......they certainly are a "Looker" in the beauty dept!

Mark can chime in here too, but with your listening tastes, the Revel Salon 2's rock. Just need power. Lots o' power.

My favs are:
Strads (earth to Bob)
Salon 2's (you sound like you have similar music tastes to Mark Powers here on AA. He's soon to be driving his with Classe CAM-600's).
Sonus Faber Anniversarios (did you see the deal on these on Agon today? Florida seller. Crazy good)
Sonus Faber Futura's (my friend Mike is selling his....if you're interested.)
Elipsa SE's
DynAudio C4 Signature (my wife said these are her favorites. I admit they are damn good).
Thiels
Good recommendations Mike!

Do yourself a big favor and try to check these out, they're the ones that have replaced my Avalon Acoustics Eidolon Visions in the line. They look fantastic not to mention being on the short list of best speakers ever made (the manufacturer that is). Don't know what the dealer network looks like there, but even here its spotty at best. You also can probably get a great deal on used Eidolons or the next one down, the Indras.

A vote to the Thiel CS3.7s and a matching SS2.2 sub (or 2) if you really need that last bit of grunt (I suspect not a need unless you have a big room).

Michael... Congrats for selling the Kef speakers.

The rock music is your taste may I suggest these speakers .

1. Focal Scala Utopia - I just heard them at the dealer. It was cool ~!

2. B&W 802D - Not my favorite but somehow people love to match with Mc and B&W.

3.McIntosh XR 100 - Tried with MC601's and It was pretty good also I really liked the design as well

4.Thiel CS 3.7 - the high and mid was excellent but didn't impressed on bottom end

5. Wilson Audio Sasha - Solid
