Maybe he's our man to help spark a revolution

That's over $10,000 worth of drivers alone for the Accuton speakers.

As for crossover parts, if you're looking to go all out, check out Claritycap MR or Duelund CAST.

cool video.

that's a little more than an average diy project.

That guy had access to a very nice CNC router and tables.

Yes it adds up pretty fast , but a similar spec speaker from a mainstream designer would cost many many times over . All Accuton drivers come with a metal mesh , his seems to be without any protective covering grill .

I've worked with Accuton mids before and liked the results. I have a pair of the same mids used above and am waiting to use them in something special, possibly a RAAL, Accuton, Scanspeak three way.

If you watch the video above, it appears his mesh grills are still attached.

This is my long time project (for the future); I have the same in mind: RAAL tweeters,
if possible the 140-15D and PHL mids to keep efficiency high, for the bottom end
there are more options, but you need more drivers. Once my daughters are a bit older
I'll start this project.

Regarding the videos, the curved section of the B&W 800's clones looks far thiner than
the real ones. That is something B&W perfected with the huge pressing machine.
I'm not sure how solid that would be when pumping a few watts. Creating robust
curved shapes in wood is not super hard, but it's not trivial.
