Well my dealer is pushing that it’s in my house and not the amp.
Running it off a generator took that notion away for me. Now RFI concerns
are still somewhat inconclusive. I reside in a rural area. No antennae’s or airports nearby. Its all been a bit of a head scratching experience. My homes breaker panel is approximate 5’ from my gear. I’ve individually removed one circuit at a time and checked the results. No difference. Home is newer with proper earth grounds in place. I was considering adding a single dedicated circuit to eliminate the potential circuit leakage but I’m being told that may not do it because all the homes neutral connections share the same bar in the panel. Basically I killed the entire idea of that when the amp acted the same way on the portable 25 kVa diesel generator, which was grounded.

Speakers at the dealer were connect to the Mac directly. I have tried other speaker cables, both bi wired and standard 2 wire connection. I’ve tried a few different power cables PS Audio and Tributaries, no difference. The pop occurs prior to the PowerGuard lamps going out at start up.

I don’t know where you are located or whether your McIntegrated is under warranty. But is it possible for you to send the unit to AudioClassics in Vestal New York?

Has it exhibited this condition from the beginning or has it just cropped up.

It’s always been there but I thought it was normal for the popping due to the sensitivity of the speakers (93 db) and the speakers being in close proximity to the amp 3.5 each side. What drew my attention to a potential problem is when I was close to the speakers with the volume all the way down I could here light static still coming thru without the streamer playing anything. I then started a track, turned off the amp outputs and dialed the volume up and could hear the music playing clearly thru both channels. I forgot to mention also that at times sitting near the speakers i can faintly pick up scratching static sounds and light popping when rotating the volume knob. Sheesh.

Thank you all again, I’ll fight thru this.

Since it’s under warranty, I would definitely send it in for repair. You outlined way too many issues for this to be remotely normal behavior.

Maybe try different speakers? You seem to have eliminated everything else. Since the issues did not manifest at the dealer, this is a tough riddle.
