Default CR-1 heat/ventilation

I am considering getting a CR-1 but I have limited cabinet height (but plenty of room on each side and front/back) where I would put the CR-1. Does anyone know if a CR-1 throws off a lot of heat and needs much room between the top of the CR-1 and the bottom of the shelf above it?

Thanks in advance.

I had one in use for a couple years, don't remember any heat issues.

Mine is on right now and I feel no heat coming off it. I do not think they generate much heat.

Mine does get warm on the left side. I wouldn’t put it in a cabinet but open rack should be okay if you can an inch or so above it.

Cabinet is 29” wide and 22” deep. So there is plenty of room on the sides and behind. No door, so the front totally open. I might only have an inch or two above the CR-1, but there are large vent holes on supporting shelf and shelf above. It seems that that should be reasonable.

Default CR-1 heat/ventilation

I have one as well and it gets warm; never hot. Mine is in a closed cabinet with a temp controlled exhaust fan. I would not worry about it if it’s an open cabinet.

My experience is the same as others. Warm on one side but never hot. Wouldn’t close it up completely but it’s probably fine in the space you describe.
