Fair price for used arc 5se?
Given that you guys are much more familiar with this preamp and I am not, what's a fair price for a mint used 5se from a single owner with original tubes?
If they were to include a set of factory fresh tubes, how much additional for that? Thanks! |

i'd say a price around 55-65% of retail if mint and new tubes.
I know some very good deals could be made for old stock, when the new was announced. I made one myself |

It's there about...the only tube you want to pay attention to is the 6550 and the rest will last a long time. Since it's only one tube which will not cost much and you may like to roll on with a better tube anyway...I won't be too concern if it's old or new tubes.
Unless you are buying a ref250... |

I've seen Ref 5SE listed between $6,500 (used) and $8,000(new) recently. Good luck!

New Euro. 14900.- -> a new REF6 have around the same price... Euro 15900.-...... search a Octave or a Covergent demo or used = better quality & sound... (ihmo) |

Yes. ARC uses the 20 amp IEC connection due to larger contact area.
