What ARC have you owned?

I own the DAC8. I'm pleased to see that a number of you do too. Frankly, I bought the DAC8 about 18 months ago, from a local dealer. I've never heard from another DAC8 owner whether they are pleased with its performance, or not. Sure, in terms of connectivity, the DAC8 may be getting a little long in the tooth but, in terms of performance, what do you folk think - does it keep up with the competition? I heard mine next to Chord and a couple of other models, I preferred the ARC.
