Default Audiogon has been good to me

What are some of your best and worst buying/selling experiences on Audiogon? I've had some very good luck and saved a small fortune there, and would like to know how others on this forum have fared...

Audiogon is great for buying/selling and actually worth reading the discussions for researching gear. Having been on there a while you can determine who is who and what is what.

Audigon staff-They sure don't like to respond to difficult questions...

I have had 3 audiogon purchases. All were smooth and trouble free.

I have bought and sold several items. Not much of late though. Met some very nice people during that time.

I've had several smooth and easy transactions buying and selling through Audiogon. Nice experiences build up confidence to buy something you might not ordinarily get to try out, and if you decide it's not for you, lose little if any money by selling it again.

My favorite Audiogon "story" is a mint pair of Guarneri Homage just 5 miles from my home. I also used A'gon to sell my MC252 and SF Cremona Auditors.

Zero problems, but then again I only deal locally. I want to see in person what I am buying and keep shippers out of the loop.

I have made four purchases, and had five sales on Audiogon. Each event went smooth with zero problems. I have been pleased with Audiogon.

I've also had several good buy and sell experiences. worst experience was with some dipshit from Calgary who bought a Theta DAC from me and when he discovered the optical input didn't work to his satisfaction damaged the front faceplate. I din't know anything was wrong with the optical input when I sold it, even after owning the Dac for about 12 years. Best experience was selling a Krell integrated to aguy in Poland of all places. He did a wire transfer for payment, easiest transaction I've ever had.
