Music, how do you keep it all organized and accessible?
I have music stored in several logical places with easy of access and all within a temperature controlled environment.
I had this little number crafted a few years back. There are compartments located at front, sides and actually behind the LPs. Think Hellraiser! Hard to believe, this unit holds roughly 15,000 CDs [w/out jewel cases]. Roughly 500 of my favourite albums. The large drawers, manage all the odd shaped box sets. I'm a fit guy and bench 265 pounds. I can't move this beast without unloading 3/4ths the stored inventory. It's heavy! Last edited by Golucid; 03-07-2016 at 10:16 PM. |

David.......I store albums in the bottom of an oak buffet in the dining room. I store CD's in dedicated CD cabinets, and I store DVD's and Blue-rays in lawyer's bookcases. I never seem to have all the storage I really need. The libraries keep growing.

No vinyl. All of my CDs are in the loft area. Every CD is cut to a harddrive, with multiple backups (for WHEN the drive will fail) and the used one is built into my Sooloos unit.
The Sooloos softare takes standard meta data, overlays additional more detailed data and allows browing my a number of methods, anything from basic level by artist, to hunting around by sound engineer and filtering by years produced. It's ace. |
