The 101 & 102 got high praise in the December issue of "Stereo".
The CD player got higher marks than the 061 and even than the 001. It sells for less than 5K € here. The little amp doesn't come far behind, but doesn't beat the 082. It's a little more than 5K.

Well, it is not true. The 061 got 93% but for some reason there is a lower mark in the Stereo ''chart'' (maybe a mistake). The Stereo 061 review with 93% mark is available on the Burmester website ;-)

sorry to revive the thread, but has anyone had a chance to experience the 101 since the thread was started? I know class D had be disparaged in the past, but quite a few of the new offerings have been quite positively received VS class AB. Burmester claims to have produced the modules in-house for the 101, so that's interesting as well.
I have the opportunity to audition the 082 but not the 101, just wondering if the extra expense for the class AB is justifiable. Thanks all! |

101's is great integrated amp for the price, but the 082's sounds better.
