Hmm, it’s been a long time.

I put in a dedicated line for my amps. Way better than the 10 gauge extension cord. No surprise. Worth the $1,500 at least three thine over.

I spent about a year trying to get the power cord on the amps right. I have both a ARC Reference 160s and REF160 monoblocks for over a year. I swapped and swapped. Then my dealer brought over an Audio Quest Hurricane. Wow, finally… it perfectly nailed the tonal balance… not shifting it and quieting the background. It is the best power cord I have ever heard on my amps.

I actually have two Hurricanes… a one meter and a two meter. So, I use them both when running the mono blocks and one when running the stereo amp. The two meter sounds better. I was surprised. My friend explained it… the longer the cord the more conditioning. I never thought about it that way.

George, congratulations on finding the right power cord for your amps. I use AQ exclusively. I find that AQ just performs. My Niagara power conditioners have been rock solid. My cables, IC's, and power cords provide me an absolutely quiet extremely low noise floor with amazing detail. While I would not claim AQ the best, it meets all my requirements for connections.

Also, I totally agree with you concerning dedicated lines. I have 4 20 amp lines run directly out of my fuse box. I also have a whole house surge protector that also filters the current coming from the light pole. Believe me, sonics begin at the light pole.

Best

Charles

Default Why is Song Key Important for a Musician?

The key of a song has significant importance, especially to someone who is learning about harmonic mixing, remixing, classical music, or DJing.

Have you ever wondered why classical symphonies mentioned the key with the name of the song? Just think about it, Beethoven Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, to help learners understand the key of the song.

Understanding the song key is beneficial in improving your playing technique. So, whether you are a pianist, guitarist, or DJ who is mixing music, song key has crucial importance for you.
