Smile Hello from McKinney (North Dallas) Texas

Hello all, Olskool (or Larry - your choice) checking in to say howdy and that I'm tickled to be a part of your group. I've been enjoying reading your posts and the friendly interactions between everyone. It seems this is truly a worldwide group as well. While I've always been a music and stereo equipment fan I am a neophyte to the world of being an Audiophile. As you will see from my equipment list below I've a hodgepodge of systems but am building, learning and definitely enjoying myself fully in this hobby.

Jazz is the area I spend the most time listening but R & B, Blues, Pop, Gospel, Easy Listening and a little bit of Country suit me just fine. I'm open to just about every genre at least once. I was fortunate to have family who liked music and collected vinyl. As such I learned to take care of my vinyl and have saved about 80% of my music from "back in the day," hence the username Olskool. Just getting started with tubes and taking delivery tomorrow of an ARC LS27 Pre Amp to pair with my ARC VS-115 Amp. When not listening to music I earn my keep in the aviation business as an airplane sales rep (don't tell my mother, she thinks I have a respectable job playing piano in a house of ill repute!). I like to play golf, very poorly but like it, and bay fishing on the Gulf Coast when I can. I'm looking forward to learning more and interacting with everyone so feel free to drop a note to me anytime.

My stuff:

Yamaha RX-V2095, ARC VS115 HD, ARC LS27, NAD M5 CD/SACD, Definitive 400 Towers, Project 6 PerspeX turntable, Project Evolution tone arm, Sumiko Blackbird MC, Project Tube Box SE II, Project Speed Box II
Cambridge Audio iD100 iPOD Doc, M2TECH EVO DAC, Grado powered Headphone Amp, Grado RS1 headphones, Cardas 5C interconnects, Nordost Grey & Blue Interconnects, Black Diamond Racing iso-pucks, Vibrapod cones & pucks, Exclusivit cutting board

Welcome to the forum! If your'e getting an LS 27, did you get it from Mark at Audio Concepts?

I have an old friend who used to live in McKinney who owes me $60,000- feeling generous or guilty about your community? I can send my PayPal ID............
