C7 Corvette.......Only a week away!

I saw the C7 on display at the 12 Hours of Sebring last week.

That confirmed my dislike for it. The C6 is a much better looking car. That back end of the C7 looks like a Caddy CTS. The C6 has cleaner, smoother lines. The C7.R will debut for the United Sports Car Racing 2014 season.

I saw the C7 at the Concours D'Elegance at Amelia Island. I was impressed as it blended in well with many of the super cars there. Very modern design.

I am still very fond of the C6. plus for $25K, used, you can really have a good time.

There have been two distinct C6.R too.
GT1 based on the Z04
GT2 based on the ZR1

Guys,

Got a call from my Brother that has or I should now say had the Grand Sport Vette.
He sold it this morning to the Chevy Dealer he purchased it from.







He also put a deposit down to get in line for the new 2014 Vette.

So I'm sure he will be getting one now that all this has taken place this morning.

He is going for the Red color Vette.
Z-51 package etc.

There will be no doubt that I will be riding in it and I'm sure can get behind the wheel if I wish.

My Brother lives in Frankfort, KY. so it is not all that long a drive to get to his home.
Maybe like 3 1/2 hours.

Should be a very awesome machine.

I agree. I currently own a 2000 C5. I was considering a C7, but I am now thinking about a recent C6 Grand Sport convertible. You can get a big bang for the buck on a late model used.

Or should I try to convince my wife to get a "new" 2013 C6 convertible?

There are a lot of deals out there right now where dealers want to get rid of current C6 stock. Plus a $3000 incentive if you trade in a Corvette.

I do like the looks of the C7 though. Is there pricing out for the C7?

Dave ... I don't think there is just yet.

If it was I'm sure I would have heard from my Brother that is in line to get one of the 2014 Models.

So I know he cannot actually place the confirmed order as there is no pricing yet or he would have done it.

Dave , as Terry said the 'firm' numbers aren't known yet, I suspect initially msrp will be the target. For those interested and living in the Mid-Atlantic region you're blessed with two of the biggest Vette dealers in the country....Kerbek (Atlantic City) and Criswell(Gaithersburg,Md)
