I just bought the 45/2A3 amp Dennis recently listed. It's a disease with no cure.

I have the Fire-bottle with full pentode wiring. Not sure if Pentode operation needs more bias then running in SET, but something is making the SET run cooler. I wouldn't recommend anybody running 807 in their pentode wired amps based on my experience. Even before 807 blew my fuse, the amp ran considerably hotter with 807 than kt88.
Right, this is why I wish someone would put up a cheap web page for Dennis that included info about each amp. It would be so simple and yet so helpful. Straitwire, pls ask DH if there is any possibility of this. Thanks. My 807 adapters were just delivered, will report back after I try them out.

Yeah, as per the 807, big time no go. Bad tube? Pair of matched Mullards. Bad adapter? Not sure. Big bad buzz. What rectifier would be the ideal? Tried my Sophia 274B and a 5U4. I have a 5y3 somewhere...thoughts? Thanks.

FWIW, the 807's I have tried have been problematic. Where did you buy yours?

I looked into the Lii Audio F15. Wow, very nice affordable full range drivers.
Please start a topic and post some pics in the what speakers are you using with your Inspire thread.

I had small baffles at first for the F15s. I am now making bigger baffles. I put them in primer today when I get done I will post pics. I have a Cambridge Audio CXA60 and went to the Inspire WOW what a difference more separation, clarity and a bigger sound stage with the F15s I am using Gold Lion KT 66. I have placed a order for different tubes. I want to buy another Inspire a newer version to see if it makes a difference in the 2014 model I have

Use the amp you have for a while and roll tubes etc. before getting another amp. Patience usually pays off. The input tube makes a BIG difference with tube amps. Which input tube are you using now? What tubes did you order?
