Vinyl - HBO
Did anyone catch the premier of HBO's Vinyl? It's produced and directed by Martin Scorsese with Mick Jagger producing and adding to the story we well.
From Wikipedia: Vinyl is an American period drama television series created by Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese, Rich Cohen and Terence Winter. The series stars Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, a record executive in the 1970s. It premiered on HBO on February 14, 2016. From a teleplay by Terence Winter and George Mastras, and story by Rich Cohen, Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter, the pilot episode is directed by Scorsese. The first season will consist of 10 episodes. Scorsese has confirmed plans to direct further episodes of the series. I thought the first episode was pretty intense with good actors, directors/story writers and great music based around 70's acts that were hot at the time ~ though the stories are fictionally portrayed it's something that "could" have happened during those times. Highly recommended, with lots of sex, drugs, rock & roll and pure 70's debauchery. If you have HBO Go you can catch the premier there now and further episodes as they are added each week, so far there are 10 episodes scheduled. https://youtu.be/1iphllcTYOs Last edited by beowulf; 02-17-2016 at 05:38 AM. |
