On the recording side it seems top notch..
I'm going to run out and grab a copy tomorrow.......what's everyone's format here......CD or vinyl? Any comparisons yet (I know it just came out)?

I have not spun the vinyl yet, the cd redbook is good, but the 96k HD tracks does sound better, also there was a free download 320 wav 44k cd download is OK but sounds as good not better than the CD.

I have not listened to the blu-ray in 2ch or 5.1 yet... and it to is a 96k file and there is a deluxe set that includes the cd/blu-ray just an fyi

Go for the Bluray and don't look back. The vinyl pressing I have is a bit noisy. The Bluray has the hirez in 2 channel and multi, plus a bunch of great video extras. I have listened to all three formats and the Bluray is hands down, the best. IMHO

I have the Blu-ray on pre-order, but have not completed the purchase yet. Maybe I will now.

I just picked up the vinyl album a little while ago.......can't believe Barnes And Noble has about a 20 foot section of vinyl! Makes it easy to run out and grab something. Anyway, I'll take a listen hopefully tonight and try to give a good review.

I started this thread, but I'm very disappointed in this release by DG. I'll keep trying to find something good about it...

Picked it up on CD yesterday. I like a couple of the tracks.
Rattle that Lock and the last song (instrumental) are cool.
Love the recording quality overall. I could listen to him play guitar for hours.

Jason.......If Gilmour would only play the guitar that would be great. His vocals are horrible. He cannot sing.

Sounds better than Bryan Ferry these days...

Can anyone who has the box set with plectrum, decipher the squiggles on the opposite side to David Gilmour? And what colour did you get?

Wow! Really? Just out of curiosity, who are your favourite (rock) singers?
