Would it be a good idea to get AD-50 to replace Pro ject Phono RS? I'm happy with the last one but I would like to keep number of boxes at minimum but with no reduction in sound quality.

I just recently got an AD-50 as an upgrade to an iFi iPhono. Major upgrade and dead silent is comparison.
I have only had only piece of vinyl that sounded a bit bright, but that is likely due to it being a Stan Kenton record and the mastering of many of the brass sections during that time period were on the bright side. Everything else has sounded amazing and I haven't even given it the full 50 hours that I like to give new equipment before making comments. |

Hi Marvin, for me, ifi3 sounds better, more brilliant, more fun and make less background noise than ad-50. Ad-50 is very accurate, not bassy not punchy, but im a little bit disappointed because of background noise.
