Anyone use a SMS-1 in their McIntosh systems?
I have a 2 channel Mcintosh system, and I am going to plug a SMS-1 in, to help tame the sub.
If anyone has used one, feel free to pm me or post tips. Thanks Hook up, Update: If any one else does a search on crossovers . 1. Connect the SMS-1 L/R EQ output to an input on your C46. You need this to play test tones through the system. Only required during set up but can leave it connected if you have a free input. 2. Connect the C46 L/R output to the SMS-1 L/R input (LFE). 3. Connect the SMS-1 L/R output to the L/R input on your amplifier. 4. Connect one of the three SMS-1 LFE output to the left/mono input of the sub. 5. Connect the SMS-1 video output to your display. Only required during set up but can leave it connected if you have a free input. 6. Connect the mic to the mic input on the front of the SMS-1. (I think!)
