Both rigs here have Hubbell HBL8300 outlets. They have a very firm grip and appear to be built well.

Furutech has recently come out with a new flagship GTX series outlet. It is made of pure copper, which is rare in receptacles. I imagine this will perform well too. This receptacle also has complementary cover made for it.

Herman.......I have not seen an audio grade receptacle that offered any type of tamper protection. The tamper resistant code adopted by the NEC was not written into code until 2008, and only applies to new home and apartment construction after the code was implemented. The tamper resistant receptacle code is only applicable to 125 volt, 15 and 20 amp outlets. That doesn't mean taper resistant receptacles are new, since they have been required to be installed in pediatric care areas of hospital for over 20 years.

I have found that my equipment sounds MUCH BETTER when I plug it into an outlet.
